May 25: Malibu, Santa Barbara and Split Pea Soup

Brian and Anna joined us for a trek up the coast. We thoroughly enjoyed the Pacific Coast Highway (US1). The views are spectacular and nearly rival New Zealand. We had lunch in Malibu at Paradise Cove Beach Cafe.

From there we headed up to Santa Barbara and walked around a bit. Here we saw a thoughtful memorial to those killed in the Iraqi war.

Santa Barbara was nice, but the people there seemed a little weird. The bums were a little more obnoxious than in other places. Sorry about the bad panoramic here, I didn't spend the time joining the image properly.

We grabbed some infamous split pea soup off of the highway and then stopped in for a soak in the hot springs in Paso Robles. We stayed at Jen's sister's in Templeton who was nice enough to let us drop in.

Okay, I was surprised you didn't take and post a picture of Kitty. I guess we love her more than you. Hahaha...
